WINE BAR - PALERMO

Palermo marks the conclusion of the trilogy of Wine Bar projects designed by BiancoBianco and once again confirms the versatility of the architect Giorgio Canale, designer of the work. The objective is to enhance the materials and production characteristics, keeping BiancoBianco's essence of purity and aesthetics in the foreground. This brand has in fact been involved in the promotion and exaltation of natural stone in the field of high quality design for over 10 years. The project draws inspiration from typically Sicilian elements, such as the elegant curves of the arches, which recall the architectural style of the Gothic tanks of the Palermo aqueduct of San Ciro, together with the iconic Moro heads of Caltagirone.

The material comes directly from Sicily, near Palermo: the Billiemi Levigato marble has a gray background tending towards yellow, crossed by darker gray veins that elegantly intertwine with each other. Billiemi stone is a very hard stone that has been used for over 1,000 years: used in monumental works and in the restoration of ancient streets in the historic center of Palermo, it has recently also been adopted in Germany, Japan and the United States.

DESIGNER: GIORGIO CANALE
Graduated in Architecture at the I.U.A.V. of Venice and since 2004 he has been registered with the Order of Architects of Verona. His versatility and extensive international research activity lead him today to sign projects in Europe and the United States, in the luxury and design sectors. He confirms a solid rationalist taste to which he combines a visionary spirit: the linearity and cleanliness of his works bring together different experiences ranging from industrial construction to interior design, up to product design. The arch. Canale supervises and manages the Italian offices thanks to his solid knowledge of the territory and the longevity of the relationships created over time born from his modern and zealous projects.
